About

I have over 40 years experience in dealing with all aspects of legal costs.

I initially worked in house but became self employed early on. For the last 25 years I have specialised in the following cases:

  • International Trade
  • Marine
  • Energy
  • Superyachts

These disputes being heard by way of Arbitration (LMAA, ICC, LCIA, RSA and LOF) and before the Commercial Court in London.

I advise either party, whether paying or receiving costs. I also advise on:

  • Budgets
  • Estimates
  • Security for costs and counsels’ fees.

I have also assisted Arbitrators on detailed assessments.

Increasingly, Trade Arbitrations are becoming a favoured means of dispute resolution for international corporations and individuals. The constant amendments and revisions to the Civil Procedure Rules of the High Court and effect on properly recoverable costs of the Jackson reforms will only increase the popularity of Arbitration in the future.
